Shelly Phillips has been in marketing and fundraising for 35 years, starting in Hilton Head Island at the Sea Pines Sports and Recreation offices when she was 20 years old. From there she and her husband went on to build a successful horse farm that they owned and operated for 11 years. When they sold High Country Stables she had 70 lesson students, 12 horses, State and local championships.
In between traveling, sailing, and growing a successful horse business, she home schooled their two boys, Ian and Ryan.
For the past several years Shelly has worked with three non-profits, developing marketing strategies and fundraisers from t-shirts campaigns to major golf outings and The Combined Federal Campaign.
She currently lives in a 5th Wheel and is spending the winter in Maine, writing blog post for small businesses, developing online curriculum for Atlas and training service dogs.
Shelly’s big passion has always been training animals. She trained horses for 10 years and in 2012 she and Miami trained their first service dog, Goose. In 2018 she became a certified Atlas Assistance Dogs trainer and Lead Team Facilitator. She is currently, training 2 dogs for service work. A chocolate lab named Daisy and a Golden named, Gunner.
Shelly loves family time. 201 marked her 34th wedding anniversary and she is very proud of her boys. Ian, who is a Loadmaster with special forces in the Air Force and Ryan, who is a very successful YouTube celebrity.
