In February 2017, we were looking at a different direction. Things were changing and a new mode of travel was required.

S/V Yume – our home for 3 years and 12,000 miles

Hurricane Matthew had destroyed possible dock spaces in Beaufort, SC where our planned 2017 Step Up to the Tee for Veterans Golf Fundraiser had to be sold and managed.

We ended up selling our Irwin 41 sailboat Yume to a super nice couple from Delaware and moving over to the dark side – land yachting!

First it was a 1995 Airstream Land yacht we picked up for $3000 only to invest hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars only to realize it was too small to live in comfortably.

We were fortunate to find a buyer in Beaufort (who loves his new Airstream!) and even more fortunate to find a 2012 Ram 3500 and a 2007 Newmar Cypress 5th Wheel RV in Florida that we have (at this writing) 14,000 miles on the road!
